Located at an altitude of 13700 feet, this pass is the second highest motor-able passage in the world after Ladakh’s Khardungala Pass where can go by vehicles.

Bumla Pass is near the India-China border, 37 kilometers from Tawang, about 16500 feet above sea level. The road to be bumped does not remain in good condition all year round. When you move forward with Sela Pass, there is a corridor in the way and it is Nuranang Waterfalls. The Nuranang River and Nuranang Falls are named after the name of a woman named Nura, who helped Indian soldiers in the war of Indo- China.
Tawang has a many small and big number of about 100 Lakes, but Shangutser means that Madhuri Lake is the most beautiful lake there, which is located 30 km Northeast from Tawang and this is known as Madhuri lake because the Bollywood biggest hit movie Koyla is shoted here and which is stared by Shahrukh Khan and Madhuri Dixit.

For going to Tawang city the best time is May to October Month. Can be reached here via Guwahati and Tezpur.
Distance from Guwahati to Tawang is about 500 kilometers. Guwahati is connected by train and air route to other major cities of the country.
Due to high cost of helicopter travel, most of the tourists take a taxi from Guwahati to go to Tawang, which is easily available.
